IAE Engine Programs
International Aero Engines (IAE), founded in 1983 and based in Glastonbury, Conn., is a joint venture of Pratt & Whitney, MTU Aero Engines GmbH of Germany and Japanese Aero Engines Corporation, created to develop an aero engine for 150-passenger, single-aisle commercial aircraft. IAE’s product, the V2500, a two-shaft, high-bypass turbofan engine, has become one of the most successful engines ever produced. More than 5,000 V2500 models have been delivered and used on Airbus 319, 320 and 321 jetliners and other commercial and regional aircraft, accumulating more than 100 million flight hours.
StandardAero Components provides component repair and overhaul for the V2500 engine family.
