Pratt & Whitney, of East Hartford, Conn., is one of the three largest aircraft engine manufacturers, with a wide variety of civil and military power plants. More than 40 percent of the world’s passenger aircraft, operated by 800 customers in 160 countries, use the company’s large commercial engines. Nearly 11,000 Pratt & Whitney military engines serve 27 armed forces in 22 countries. Pratt & Whitney Canada produces turbofan, turboprop and turboshaft engines for regional, business and military aircraft and rotorcraft.
StandardAero Components holds Pratt & Whitney Canada approvals for repair and overhaul of PT6 and PW100 turboprop, PW200 turboshaft, and PW300, PW500, PW600 and JT15D turbofan components. We also are approved for component repair and overhaul on JT8D low-bypass turbofan and PW2000 high-bypass turbofan utilized on single-aisle Boeing jetliners and PW4000 high-bypass turbofan engine components for Airbus and Boeing wide-body commercial aircraft.
