Our History begins in 1965 as Universal Finishing a two-person operation at the time, a subsidiary of San Diego plating a chrome only shop. In 1971 John Treffers purchased the assets of UF and continued to operate under that name. In 1972 Treffers changed its name to Treffers Plating, Inc. grinding equipment, an Anodize line, and a precision shafting line was added to serve the computer and printer industry. Treffers precision quickly became a premier leader in aerospace component metal finishing processing. In 1998 Mr. Treffers sold to Praxair, which later was purchased by PAS Technologies, now a division of StandardAero.
